Stefiuk Commits to Vanderbilt

Ryan Stefiuk, a Green Bay, WI native, has announced his commitment to Division I Vanderbilt University located in Nashville, TN.

The southpaw from Titletown jumped on the scene before he even threw a pitch in high school and drew interest from nearly every elite school in the country. A pro body already at the age of 15, Stefiuk has the stuff to get hitters out at the collegiate level right now with three years still remaining in his prep career. With a fastball up to 87 paired with a curveball that shows sharp 12-6 action, the ceiling on Stefiuk has no limits.

Becoming the second Rays player to commit to the Commodores, Stefiuk joins elite company following Jeren Kendall (2014) who was just selected 23rd overall by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2017 MLB Draft. Considered by most a top five program in the country, Vandy is led by legendary head coach Tim Corbin who will begin his 16th year at the helm for the Commodores. Winning a National Championship in 2014, as well as having 14 players selected in the MLB First Year Player Draft, Vanderbilt Baseball is the in an elite class of developing players for the professional level.

With his commitment, Ryan Stefiuk becomes the first player from the Rays 2020 class to commit to a Division I school.
