Krumbach Commits to Xavier

Jack Krumbach of Madison, WI has announced his commitment to playing his collegiate baseball for Division I Xavier University located in Cincinnati, OH.

The ultra-athletic Krumbach can be found manning centerfield for the Rays 16U team this summer.   Showing advanced outfield actions to pair with elite speed, Krumbach shows the ability to stay in centerfield when he arrives on campus for the Musketeers.  At a 6.7 runner, Krumbach puts pressure on the defense when at the plate with his huge speed tool.  Showing a short, compact swing paired with an approach that stays in the middle of the field, Krumbach has the potential to be an advanced leadoff hitter from the left side.

With his commitment to the Musketeers Krumbach becomes the second Rays player to commit to Xavier, following 2017 grad Trevor Olson who begins his freshman year this fall.  2017 will be the first year at the helm for Billy O’Connor, who prior to his recent promotion was an assistant for the Musketeers for six seasons.  Xavier has experienced back to back NCAA Regional appearances and has won three Big East Championships in four years.

Krumbach is the third Rays player in the 2019 class to announce their commitment to a Division I school.
