Manthey Decides on Bradley

Columbus, WI native Connor Manthey announces his commitment to continue his baseball and academic career at Division I Bradley University in Peoria, IL.

Manthey had his stock rise this summer as he showcased the ability to be a solid defender behind the plate as well as power potential in his right handed bat.  A strong, athletic build, Manthey has an offensive approach to the game where his simple set up produces barreled contact with bat speed.  Behind the dish Manthey shows advanced arm strength and quick feet which makes him a threat to would be base stealers.  Manthey was another GRB player who was an attendee to the PBR Future Games held this past summer.

Manthey will arrive on Bradley’s campus in the fall of 2018 and will join eighth year head man Elvis Dominguez who is coming off a third place finish in the Missouri Valley Conference in 2016.  With his commitment to the Braves, Manthey becomes the fourth Rays player to commit to Bradley joining Carson Weber and Zac Fairchild who are currently in their senior seasons for the Braves as well as fellow 2018 commit Paul Stefiuk.

Connor Manthey becomes the tenth player from GRB’s 2018 class to commit at the Division I level.
